- FanDuel Predicts is a standalone app for event contracts, run by a FanDuel and CME Group joint venture.
- Its strength is financial contracts: stock indices, commodities, crypto and economic data, available in every state and DC.
- It charges 2¢ per $1 of potential payout, including on early cash-out.
- Sports and entertainment contracts are offered only where FanDuel doesn't run a sportsbook.
This FanDuel Predicts review explains what the app offers, how fees work, where it's available and who it suits, as of October 2026. FanDuel Predicts launched in December 2025 and is separate from the FanDuel sportsbook: you trade federally regulated contracts with other users rather than betting against the house. If the format is new, start with what prediction markets are. Nothing here is advice.
How the FanDuel and CME app works
FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC is a futures commission merchant registered with the CFTC, owned jointly by FanDuel and CME Group. Contracts are listed on CME Group's exchange and, since June 2026, also on Crypto.com's exchange (OG Prediction Markets). Each contract pays out if the event happens; you can cash out before settlement.
The app launched on December 22, 2025 in a handful of states and expanded from there. Financial contracts were the anchor from day one, which sets it apart from most sportsbook-run apps.

FanDuel Predicts fees
FanDuel charges a transaction fee of 2¢ per $1 of potential payout, and the same fee applies if you cash out early. Because it's based on payout rather than price, the fee is the same share whether you buy a cheap contract or an expensive one, unlike the price-based formulas on Kalshi and Polymarket that peak at 50¢. Compare costs with our fee calculator.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Financial contracts available nationwide | Payout-based fee can cost more than price-based fees on expensive contracts |
| Backed by CME Group, a major futures exchange | Sports limited to states without a FanDuel sportsbook |
| Simple app with early cash-out | Separate app from the FanDuel sportsbook |
| Now also lists Crypto.com contracts | Fewer market types than dedicated prediction exchanges |
How it compares with other venues
The financial focus is the main difference. Kalshi and Robinhood also list index and economic contracts, but most sportsbook-run apps lead with sports. FanDuel's payout-based fee is simple to understand, yet on a contract priced near $1 it takes a larger share of your potential profit than a price-based fee would. On a cheap contract the reverse can be true. The joint venture with CME also means the contracts sit on a large, long-established futures exchange. Check the same question on more than one venue before buying, because prices can differ.
Getting started
Download the FanDuel Predicts app, create an account and complete identity checks. Start with small positions, read each contract's settlement rules (for example, which index level or data release decides it), and note the fee shown before you confirm.
Who it suits
It suits people who want simple contracts on markets, prices and economic data in any state, and FanDuel customers in states without a FanDuel sportsbook. For a wider range of events or lower fees on cheap contracts, compare it with others in our platform comparison.
