- PrizePicks Predict brings CFTC-regulated event contracts into the PrizePicks app as "Team Picks" and "Culture Picks".
- It is a broker: the contracts are Kalshi markets. A Polymarket partnership was also announced.
- It launched in November 2025 and is available to adults 18+ in most, but not all, states.
- It suits PrizePicks fantasy players; dedicated exchanges offer more markets and control.
This PrizePicks Predict review explains what the product is, how it differs from PrizePicks fantasy contests, and who it suits, as of October 2026. PrizePicks Predict is a separate, federally regulated product: Team and Culture Picks are event contracts traded on an exchange, not fantasy entries. If you're new to the format, read what prediction markets are first. Nothing here is advice.
PrizePicks Predict: how it works
Performance Predictions II, LLC, doing business as PrizePicks Predict, is a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant and NFA member. It launched on November 14, 2025, listing Kalshi markets: when you make a Team or Culture Pick, you're buying a Kalshi event contract through PrizePicks. PrizePicks later announced a partnership with Polymarket to add more markets. Allwyn, the lottery operator, completed its purchase of a majority stake in PrizePicks.

Team Picks vs Culture Picks
Team Picks cover game outcomes and season futures across major sports. Culture Picks cover entertainment, awards and other non-sports events. The two have different state coverage: PrizePicks' help center lists more states for Culture Picks than for Team Picks, and the counts on its pages differ slightly, so check the app for your state. PrizePicks' fantasy promo codes don't apply to Predict.
Fees
PrizePicks Predict publishes a regulatory fee schedule, and the Kalshi exchange fee also applies. We couldn't confirm the per-contract terms, so check the cost on the order screen before confirming, and compare it with trading on Kalshi directly using our fee calculator.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Familiar app for PrizePicks players | A broker layer on top of Kalshi |
| Regulated contracts, separate from fantasy contests | State coverage differs between Team and Culture Picks |
| Sports and culture in one place | Fewer market types than Kalshi itself |
| Backed by a large operator (Allwyn) | Fee terms not easy to find |
How it compares with trading on Kalshi directly
Because Team and Culture Picks are Kalshi markets, the core question is whether the PrizePicks layer is worth it. Trading on Kalshi itself gives you every market Kalshi lists, the full order book, and resting orders with no taker fee on most markets. PrizePicks gives you a curated selection in an app you may already use, with a simpler interface and a different set of eligible states. The same event can trade at slightly different prices once fees are counted, so compare before you buy.
Getting started
Open the PrizePicks app, find Team or Culture Picks, and complete the identity checks for the product, which is separate from fantasy play. Confirm your state is eligible for the type of pick you want, start small, and read each contract's settlement rules.
Who it suits
the product suits existing PrizePicks players who want to try event contracts in the same app. If you want the full Kalshi market list, lower layers of fees or more order control, go to the exchange directly: see our Kalshi review and platform comparison.
Where this can go wrong
- You can lose your whole stake on any contract that resolves against you.
- Fees on both sides: buying and selling before settlement can each carry a fee.
- Rules matter: contracts settle on their exact wording and data source, which may differ from the headline.
- State rules change: sports contracts are being challenged in several states, so availability can shift.
